เริ่มต้นจากโจทย์ง่ายๆ: ค่าไฟแพง!
บ้านของเราทำโฮมสเตย์เล็กๆ อยู่ในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ซึ่งต้องเปิดไฟ ตู้เย็น เครื่องปรับอากาศ และอุปกรณ์ไฟฟ้าอื่นๆ ตลอดวัน โดยเฉพาะเมื่อมีแขกเข้าพักเต็มทุกห้อง ค่าไฟที่เคยจ่ายในเดือนเมษายนปีที่แล้ว (2567) พุ่งไปถึง เกือบ 15,000 บาท จากการใช้ไฟถึง 2,890 หน่วย ภายในเดือนเดียว!
ติดโซล่าเซลล์ขนาด 11.25kWp พร้อมแบตเตอรี่ 5kWh
เราตัดสินใจติดระบบโซล่าเซลล์ขนาด 11.25 kWp แบบ Hybrid ที่รองรับการต่อแบตเตอรี่ในอนาคต
โดยตอนนี้เราเริ่มจากแบตเตอรี่แค่ 1 ลูก (5 kWh) ตามงบที่มี
ราคาทั้งหมด 300,000 บาทถ้วน (รวมแผง อินเวอร์เตอร์ ระบบติดตั้ง และแบตฯ)
แม้งบจะยังไม่พอให้ระบบสมบูรณ์แบบ แต่เราก็เลือก “ทำเท่าที่มี” และเผื่อขยายได้ในอนาคต
เริ่มใช้งานปลายเดือนเมษายน (แต่แผงยังไม่ครบ)
ระบบติดตั้งเสร็จตอนดึกของวันที่ 29 เมษายน 2568
และเพิ่งรู้ภายหลังว่าช่าง “ลืมต่อปลั๊กแผงด้านหนึ่ง” ทำให้ระบบยังทำงานไม่เต็มประสิทธิภาพ
แต่เราก็เริ่มเปิดระบบใช้งานในวันถัดมา
ผลลัพธ์ในเดือนพฤษภาคม: ค่าไฟลดฮวบ! จาก ประสบการณ์ติดโซล่าเซลล์
แม้จะมีแผงบางฝั่งที่ไม่ได้ทำงานในช่วงต้นเดือน
แต่ผลลัพธ์ของการใช้โซล่าเซลล์ก็เห็นได้ชัดเจน:

Real Experience! Installing Solar Panels for Our Homestay – Is It Worth It?
Many people hesitate to install solar panels, unsure if it’s worth the investment—especially for small businesses like ours, a homestay where electricity use varies based on how many guests we have.
Here, I’d like to share our real experience. We just installed a hybrid solar system at the end of April, and I hope this helps you decide if it’s right for you too.
Our Simple Motivation: Electricity Bills Were Too High!
Our homestay in Chiang Mai, Thailand, needs constant electricity for lights, fridges, fans, and air conditioners—especially when every room is fully booked.
Last year, in April 2024, our electricity bill shot up to nearly 15,000 baht with usage reaching 2,890 units in just one month!
We Installed a 11.25kWp Hybrid Solar System + One 5kWh Battery
We chose a hybrid solar system with a capacity of 11.25 kWp that allows future battery expansion.
At this time, our budget allowed us to install only one 5kWh battery.
Total cost: 300,000 baht (including all equipment, inverter, installation, and battery)
Even though we couldn’t go all-in at once, we decided to start with what we had and plan for future upgrades.
Installation Date: April 29, 2025 – But Not Fully Functional Yet
The system was completed late at night on April 29.
Later, we found out the installer forgot to plug in one side of the panels! So for the first few days, the system didn’t run at full capacity—but we started using it the very next day.
May Results: Electricity Bill Dropped Dramatically!
Despite the initial hiccups, the results in May 2025 were impressive:

Electricity bill: only 5,264.87 baht

(compared to 2,890 units in April last year)
To better understand the savings, let’s compare electricity cost per night with guest stays:
